I have purchased a Kenwood KVT-819DVD for my '05 Roadster. I have read through these posts and picked up some great information, but I have a couple of "gaps". The Kenwood has 5v pre-outs, which seems to be close to the OEM HU voltage if I can believe what I have read here. I want to use the OEM amp and speakers, but I want to use the front pre-out for the door speakers and the sub pre-out for the subwoofers. Thanks to the resources available here, I know that the HU's 2 channel outputs split somewhere before the black "Power Amplifier A" connector, to provide 4 channel inputs for the amp. Unfortunately, it appears that they aren't uniquely color-coded, making it difficult to determine, for example, which wire supplies the right + signal to the door speaker and which to the sub.
I have attached a diagram with comments. No offense, but a difinitive, absolute answer would help me and anyone else trying to install an aftermarket unit in thier Crossfire, so if you know which pin = which input, please repond.
