Wes, I realize the AMG already has an optimized ECU, that was the whole point of the post.

The reason the chip is optimized is for the AMG/SRT Supercharger and the lower compression ratio.

Thus, now follow me if you can... If I were to put the AMG/SRT aftermarket supercharger / intercooler, reduce compression by 10%, run 7lbs of boost, and change nozzles, I am going to have to remap the ECU to the specs of the AMG engine to make it run properly.

The only way to do this is if one of the chippers have mapped the AMG/SRT protocols and can write it to my ECU.

Now back to my original question:
