Don't sweat it Valorian. I am of the same opinion as you. I was VERY hesitant about buying an automatic tranny sports car. I love the control you have when you shift your own gears. I love it, love it, love it! It's good clean fun.

That said, all I had to do was drive the SRT-6, and I was sold. I love the car - automatic tranny and all. Of course, if AMG emailed me tomorrow and said they would like to put a manual in my car for free, I'd take them up on it.

The thing is, that since the car is an AMG special, it's got an auto. AMG is all about automatic trannies. And, I'll give them kudos, they make one hell of a tranny. But it is definitely an AMG thing.
