hey, thanks for the link.

it's not about me affording to pay for the part or not, i can go buy that pan for 400 but why spend so much when there's cheaper alternatives of the same part.

i have a dealers account at all dealers because i used to work for a vehicle rebuilder for 4 years. so i get 20% off and tax free. the thing is, 400 is unreasonable for that pan when the benz dealer has the same pan for 250.

so when i first called the chrysler dealer asking for the pan and knowing that after my discount, it's 400, i was just shopping around to see if there is a cheaper alternative. why spend more than you have to....

then when i found out that benz has the same part and when i looked u for a crossfire engine (car-part.com) in my city for an oil pan and couldn't find one but found many e320/mercedes 320 motors, i just went to the junk yard and bought one for 150. (same part numbers on the oil pan)

so i saved 250 on a part. more than half the price. so why pay 400, but with a little research, save more than half....

thanks for the hook up tho
