The only data it takes is from the cigarette lighter to operate the built in tach and shift lights. Its pretty much strictly accelerometers. It doesnt display speed in real time, only g-force and the tach/shiftlights. It calculates speed/1/4 mile/0-60 etc based on g-force over time, along with the weight and suspension stiffness. Its actually dead on with the speedometer, last run I did I went to 100 then let off, the 1/4 mile graph went up to 100.
