Default Re: Can't get my key to turnover

Jiggling while turning the key doesn't do a thing except raise my blood pressure. I now have the lower dash apart, all electrical connectors from the lock cylinder are removed (as far as I can tell, but I still can't remove the assembly from the column. There's a little pin. The lock cylinder assembly is the male end and the steering column is the female. A pin from the lock cylinder protrudes through the female sleeve of the steering column and I can't remove it. It's not spring loaded, I tried pushing in on it while pulling on the lock assy. I think it has to do with the steering wheel being locked straight. Something along the line of a cam rotating as the wheel turns and then pushed the pin in place when locked. Scouring through the online pdf manual isn't revealing anything.

I can't get the cylinder through MB of West Chester, and D'Ambrosio Dodge wants 210$ for the lock cylinder. Has anyone on here actually done one of these before?? If so, can I get your number and you can talk me through it??

Thanks in advance

Justin
