I removed the padding and the lights still don't work properly. Today I turned the door on/off to on, closed the doors (interior lights still on) opened the hatch and activated the hatch latch manually. Nothing changed. interior lights stay on no matter if the door is closed or open. Also I made sure the interior light on/off switch is off.
