Hey guys (and gals),
This post is a continuance from my original here:

The top finally arrived! The dealer called so I dropped off the car and the repair was completed the next day. The top IS covered by the service contract. They told me the car had an open recall, dealing with the cooling system, so those parts are on order.
I had them create an additional line on the repair order for a "sticking ignition lock cylinder." They told me that my Maximum care service contract did not cover the item. The car is just over it's factory warranty, that's the reason I bought one.
Has anyone else here had this type of extended coverage and any issues replacing this item. I know the sticking lock cylinders are a pretty common problem with our cars. The cylinder is also part of what's called an exchange order entry in which they need the old one in order to get a new one. I'm assuming the cylinder comes with tumblers pre-keyed for our cars. The cylinder is like upwards of $300 and even with my discount, still expensive, not to mention labor.
I haven't picked up the car yet because if I can get them to add the lock cylinder on the same repair order, then I only have to pay for one deductible.

Not to mention I'm still waiting on the recall parts. I'm thinking my best bet would be to call Chrysler Service Contracts and see if it is covered or not; however I'm at work now and wanted to check with you guys first.
peace,
Steven
