and check this article out. it makes me think why people would buy the amg instead of this.

if the 600 can pull off those times i wonder what the sl65 amg would do?
Net Power 604 hp @ 5500 rpm
Net Torque 738 lb-ft @ 2,000 - 4,000 rpm

David Burns- those rims are formula 1 rims i think offered by mercedes they range between 2k-3k for a set im not sure but i get back to you with a exact price

edit- my bad rims are called 18" Turbine Style 5-Hole Alloy Wheels @ mercedes and they cost only $1,992.00 for a set

and what really has me troubled is in that car and driver article its saids 0-60 times are 3.6 but in the street start {5-60) it saids 4.5? aren't street starts faster then 0-60? or is the 3.6 some typo. i know the 3.6 sec 0-60 time for the sl600 is very possible because the sl has a larger engine with more hp/t ft then the e55 which in one of my motor trend mags had a 4.2 sec 0-60 versus the rs6 which got 4.3 so im not to sure about the street start times on the sl. also ive heard from the mb forums that the 6.0 litre engien from the 600 can well produce over 900 lb-ft torque but mb had to limit it due to the tranny breaking.
