Barb and I just got back a little while ago, after a fun drive home from yet another great Crossfire GTG.
It was good seeing old friends, and meeting new ones, but unfortunately we didn't have quite as good of a turn out as we did last year. But I think those that did attend still had a wonderful time, (I know we did).
They positioned us right between the Prowlers and the Vipers, and it kind of made ya feel "special" compared to last year when we were relegated beyond the Neons in the Fair Grounds "Back 40" (Not that there was anything wrong with that). But it just seemed as though our cars finally garnered a little more respectability when it comes to Chrysler's automotive "pecking" order. At least this year they got Chryslers "Finest 2 seaters all in one place. Even the Chrysler Maseratis were across the driveway from us.
We were terribly out numbered by the Snakes, but we had the Prowlers out numbered by 3 to 1. Actually there were more "New Challengers" at the Fair Grounds than Crossfires. We're still Chrysler's best kept secret, but thanks to our better location we got plenty of spectators admiring our rides.
As usual Ichons "Lambo Doored" beauty was the most photographed, while I think it was a toss up between Acrispy1 and FP's engine bays drawing the most onlookers.
"Black" Crossfires seemed to be "THE" car to have this year with nearly half of the Crossfires in attendance displaying that "Classy" color.
Frank and Tony, nice job arranging everything, it was much appreciated by everyone.
Peggy, Tom and I will never forget Miss Hawaii. ...(don't ask).
