I installed the radio shack buzzer early this year. I had to take my car in for warranty work about a month ago for some issues including a bad siren. I have heard both side by side and they sound the same. The loudness is the some and the radio shack buzzer is just a little lower tone. Trust me for the cost difference buy the radio shack buzzer for $3.00.
