Default Re: Very Misleading

I installed the Radio Shack buzzer, and I didn't really like it. So I went the route of replacing the alarm siren module. I like the beep it makes. It's sublte, not an annoying "look at me" "wake the neighbors" beep of the horn. But to each his own.

I would suggest removing the new alarm module and putting your old one back. Then sell the new one in the For Sale section here on the forum. I'm sure someone would like to have one. I bet you could even throw in the gear puller.

You really didn't need the gear puller though. With patience and lots of wiggling, the wiper arms do come off.

Also, the nut you're talking about that holds the siren bracket in place doesn't turn. It is welded to the bracket. You have to turn the bolt from the other side of the cowl, which I have to say is a big pain in the rear. God help you if you drop that bolt when you get it out, as it will go right down on top of the transmission.

Anyway, you can tighten you bracket up, by holding the bracket stationary and then ratcheting on the bolt on the front of the cowl. It shouldn't matter though, since the whole area is covered by a big peice of plastic.
