From past personal experience on the Castle Coomb track, I found that you can drive at your own limit, be it slow and steady or at a faster pace. After a few laps and getting accustomed to the bends my speed and confidence incressed.

Regarding tyre wear etc, its all down to how you drive the xfire on the day.

Driving on the track is not as daunting as it sound's. Have a word with Steve-UK and Woody who are past masters ( see earlier posts) for more info.
