In my area, most techs do not know how to reset the FSS, so I end up doing it myself.

Here is how:

1. Turn Ignition switch to "run"
2. Immediately push the trip odometer button twice
3. Within 10 seconds of doing step 2, turn ignition switch off.
4. Press and HOLD the trip odometer button.
5. While holding the odometer button move the ignition to run.
6. Continue holding the odometer button for about 10 seconds, or until you hear the beep.

It can be a bit tricky to get the timing right; took me three tries the first time.
