When I did a Carfax on my car it noted that the car was shipped to the U.S. in Aug of 2006. The mfg date on the door of the car says it was built in Sept of 2005. Carfax said it came to the U.S. with no miles on it and was shipped to Texas. I guess I'm wondering why it spent almost a year lingering in Europe before being shipped here. Where sales so slow they held back vehicles until the pipeline began to dry up?
Actually there wasn't supposed to be any 2006 sold in the US but with poor sales in Europe(poor sales also in US)they started shipping to the US I think in 2007.
