Today I succumbed and bought a 16oz bottle of "Stop Wax -- Synthetic Polymer Auto Wash 5 in 1". The directions suggest you add 4oz of product to 2 gallons of water, wash your car in a normal way ; ie., from top to bottom, rinsing each section at a time. It says "towel dry glass only".
I took that last comment to mean -- do not wipe or dry car after last rinse.
They claim that after 3 or 4 washes it will shine like wax.
I'm here to tell you that my car looked so shi$%y that within 1 hour I washed it again with my usual Meguiars shampoo. Perhaps my car had too much wax on it for this product to form a film. Instead my slate colored car was covered with hundreds of off-white water spots. I can only imagine what it would look like if the whole car were covered by one spot.
Save your $7. Has any one else tried this stuff?
