Re: Kudos to Griffin!
I have a predecessor to this as well as a DLO TransPod. The model I have doesn't have SmartScan and the tuning of the station is done via the iPod screen. There are 3 good stations that I can use around the greater Philly area and most of S. Jersey. I've seen some pretty good reviews of the model you have.
The Roadtrip is great in terms of positioning options and taking up little space, but the TransPod has a much stronger transmitter. For the 3 good stations I can use with the Roadtrip there are 10 to 12 I can use with the TransPod. This, of course, will vary by region. Still, the TransPod has a short arm and an awkward extension arm that I won't use. Even with an AutoStick, it gets in the way a little when going near Reverse in the gate.
I'll also take some pics of both to post them, as I think both are useable options for the Crossfire system. I switched back to the Roadtrip last week because it annoys me that the TransPod gets in the way.
Happy 16th, by the way. Have you gone solo in the Xfire yet?
