Too bad it breaks so easily and really doesn't hold cups, more like a can holder than a cup holder.

Remove trim plates around shift lever by pulling up and back. Remove the rubber cover from the emergency brake handle (this is the hardest part...it takes a lot of pulling). There are two screws at the front of the console and two nuts at the back (inside the storage compartment at the rear...pull carpet forward about two inches) that must be removed. Lift the console up from the front and slide forward. Disconnect any electrical connections and completely remove the console. Lay the console upside down (on a towel) and remove 4 torx screws holding the cup holder in place. Reverse the removal process to reinstall the console.
The storage cup snaps into place from the top of the console and can be done before or after reinstalling it.
Hope that was somewhat clear...if not, let me know. You can email me at: danimalb@iwon.com.
I have been putting this off forever because I still cannot figure out how to get the console out. In the instructions above it says to remove the trim plates around the shift lever by pulling up and back. I can't seem to figure out how to do that without tearing up the trim. Mine is an automatic, does that make a difference on the instructions?
