Thanks for the e-mail... I ran the car last weekend out at Willow again and I think the heat got to the brakes more than anything else... I truely do not believe anyone would need upgraded brakes for regular street safety...

While at Willow, I ran into the tech manager from the LA division of Brembo and he asked me if I would take the car into their shop in Costa Mesa for a day so they could measure etc. to see if they could fit their SLK32 system directly to the Crossfire or would have to do some redesign and modifications since they have NEVER done a full brake retrofit on the Crossfire.

I figured what the hell and will bring it in to them on my first day off next week...

I'm sure the brake fade was from the consistent heat build up after 20+ consecutive laps, or perhaps a glazing of the front pads, not an under-designed braking system. I think maybe I'm finally starting to find the limitations of the car.

Geeze, I thought it was limitless !!! :wink:
