A guy on the SLK forum apparently even got a Ford Racing Intercooler Pump to work with his SLK by changing out the input/output flanges and putting spade connectors on the electrical socket. Let us know how it works out for you.
Actually I ordered that Ford racing intercooler pump, and I'm changing out the flanges also... I gotta say, I haven't seen a group of car owners that are resourceful like you crossfire/slk owners are. Always looking for a way out of paying the ridiculous prices.
