Any updates to this interesting thread? If I were you, I'd get a clay bar and play with it yourself to see if you can remove it. Then, if it doesn't come off, get the dealer to pay for somebody to properly remove the paint imperfections. I'd NEVER let ANY car dealer wash my car, let alone detail it. And if they do, they would probably use a glaze to hide everything and then charge you an arm and a leg for it.
