I rarely ever have a problem with tailgaters as usually I am driving faster that most.
However if someone comes up on me I just pull over to the right lane and let them pass. I expect the same coutesy if I am coming up on someone while in the fast lane. I really wish the "the keep right except to pass" was more enforced and then we would not have a problem.
