I would be curious to know what the temp is inside the compartment when the car is running in idle and on the move. It shouldnt be that hard to find out with a thermometer mounted inside. I know that my hood says quite warm for a while after driving, that leads me to believe that there isnt much venilation there. What troubles me about the CAI that are mounted in front of the radiators is that they could become fouled with debris and exposed to the elements. Using this set-up will perform better I believe, but will require closer attention to the filter being kept clean. I would like to know from users of this set-up if they clean the element on a regular basis.
