Wider, Oh Yes....but you loose a 1/2 inch on overall height. To me this is not very noticeable, because the 255's pulled the side wall in and made the tire look narrow on the rim.

WOW... way better looking and the rim is much better protected.
The side wall stands straight up, like it should.
