As to the question at hand - I find the fixed sun visors rather odd indeed but then again I have a roadster and the top is almost always down so swinging them out would seem odd anyway. I can live with it, even though it is strange. As for an autodimming rearview mirror, I couldn't care less. I'm honestly not put out by having to reach up a little bit to flip a lever every so often. Hell, if I'm fine picking my own gears when I want them I can sure as hell select which setting I want on my mirror.

I think sometimes we're getting too damn coddled with conveniences in cars. Automatic headlights for instance. Seriously, do people really need their car to turn the headlights on when it starts to get dark? Or do they just like it when the dumb a$$ car turns them on and off every time you go under an overpass when it's cloudy out? I rented a car once that did that and I've seen many others exhibit that "feature". Of course, you can disable the automatic headlights, but then that's sort of like ....... well....... turning your headlights on and off manually!!!!!
