As far as the most realistic mod members will be willing to contribute to i think this is it. Cams will not be hundreds the will be thousands and it better darn well be someone who really knows what they are doing. And as far as doing cams before bigger headers im not sure youll gain the full benefit, but who knows its too early in the game to know.
My opinion would be to use their idea as a guide, if they allow. There's no reason to start from scratch if the surface is already broken. If their products show gains look at improving on them, not making something completely new. The pic posted of the tank in the battery area is probably the cleanest idea.
If you want it fancier, the price goes up. We're not talking intakes anymore. In all honesty if you are looking to make a product that is ready for market, expect 2-3K minimum for R&D backing on this part. A one off part is cheap and easy to make. Having a part that can be adapted to many cars and installed easilyt without long term problems costs a little more.
