And my '90 Caravan had wonderful cup holders. SO?

It is after all, a small sports car. Some of the design is a compromise to size and safety concerns, not just budget matters. Besides, anything close, say a 320 SLK of the same vintage stickered for $20K more and wasn't that much better.

Every vehicle design is a compromise. Whether it is a sailboat, a waterski, or a houseboat it is hard to get some of the good items of one into the shape and size of another. As compromises go, I have yet to see a package that sums up to the car you are driving.

Have you ever found one? In this price range? How about twice the price of a Crossfire?

Sorry to rag you but if I could have afforded it, I would have paid sticker ($40K) for my compromised Crossfire over the $ 60K Benz I wanted. I never considered any of those compromises "cheap."
