Thanks for the sympathy - sorry to hear you had a similar experience - there is comfort in numbers though :-) Actually, the local Chrysler dealership was also trying to get me a wheel. They were calling around to other Chrysler dealers to see if they could track one down. The local tire shop was using their resources to see if any tire shops happened to have a Chrysler wheel. In terms of the rental car, Chrysler customer service said that a rental car would not be reimbursed because my car was not un-drivable due to a "Warranty Item". The local Chrysler dealer said they best they could do was give me the number of the local Enterprise rental for me to get a rental car. What was most frustrating was that the Chrysler dealer was right across the street from the tire shop I was at (the dealer uses this tire shop for their tire needs and to order tires - hence the reason I had it towed there) and every day I could see new Crossfires with perfect wheels sitting right across the street from my poor car :-(
