Honestly guys, I have yet to have any issue with my DIY dual air. I drive about 200 miles every other weekend to Houston From College Station and have never had and issue. No high temps, bogging down, hesitation, idle problems, nothing. I guess I am lucky. Granted, NW and TVT are pro-products, but I just wanted looks. I am not going to race anyone. JMO.
By the way, The air horns were moved down to increase air flow to radiator. Just wanted something louder than the OEM horn.
Can you make us a shopping list of what you used and where you got it? I'm thinking about doing the same thing but having the filters down in the lower grill area. Also, what year 1100 V-Star? I have one too. An '06 1100 Midnight that is black on black and had a few other things coated flat black to really tie it all in. Haven't been out on it enough this year though and it's starting to get chilly here in MN in the evenings. Where did the summer go?!
