The wife and I did a several day trip to the northshore of MN. and BAYFIELD ,WI., which are both tourist traps, but beautiful destinations. We took a roundabout desolute route because I wanted to test some of the Crossfires attributes. Hwy. 1,which is about one hundred miles is length , is an asphalt road with lots of sharp and hairpin curves. I was able to travel " safely" at 80 mph on the short straight s tretches and I doubled whatever the posted speed was on the curves. The SRT performed flawlessly. The SRT was a conversation opener whereever we went We had men and women , and young boys ,ages 7 to 70 approach us or give us the high sign. We had two Crossfire sightings ,neither of which was an SRT, during this mini vacation. In fact, in all of our travels over this past year, we have seen only one other SRT, and that was at a Chrysler dealership in St. Paul, Mn.
How was the ride, Jim? I grew up in Cloquet, MN and am familiar with the North Shore. I recall the Highway 1 can be kind of rough in some areas. I've recently had back surgery and a 50 mile ride in my SRT-6 completely wears me out. Thinking about going to regular Crossfire suspension.
