I used a small device called TripTunes...it is a powered module that plugs into the antenna spot on the back of the radio and then the antenna plugs into the module...the cord from the ipod plugs into the unit..or in my case, into the aux input plug that I installed. The module is located behind that black panel. On the radio, you just tune to 88.3 and the music plays. I programmed the 88.3 station to my first preset so I just press that button and my ipod plays. Since it is a hard wired and powered unit, you have zero static and sounds just as good as a new headunit with an aux input.
