Default Re: Reception Problems with aftermarket Radio

If it doesn't rain this evening ( car is outside under a cover ), I'll check my setup. I haven't noticed a reception problem nor do I recall a stray wire.

I never fully secured my aftermarket radio in the dash. With some TLC, I should be able to slide it out and check my connections. The only problem is that I have a base coupe which may have a different set of connections.

On a side note, I am having a radio reception problem with my wife's car after I installed an Alpine head unit in it. I need to resolve that soon but I do not relish taking apart her dash again ( 2007 outback ). Most time consuming install I've ever done. I am thinking that the antenna adaptor isn't securly connected. But perhaps its worse than that. I have the exact same Alpine head unit in my Xterra and it gets great radio reception.
