I have had the V1 for about three months now. I mounted it in the same way you did. Just under the rear view mirror so it looks out between the seats and out the window. It seems to work pretty well but does pick up all the damn radar operated doors I drive by. I was also considering the BEL Driver and if I decide to change that is what I will try next.
