I do a section of the hood or section of the doors at a time. It seems on the hood is where I've noticed the film in smaal areas. It is almost like if you get Armor All on the paint. . I spray the NXT on a wax cloth and not on the car that way it doesn't overspray down into the gaps of the hood etc. I do a small area at a time and once it hazes over it wipes off easily. Might be the towels you are using.
You either need to use a good 100% cotton or a good microfiber towel. Also when washed
NEVER use a fabric softener when washing your towels as this will leave a residue on the car much like you described.
Meguiares or
Zaino are my preference for detailers. Ice is just too oily for my tastes - like it leaves a clear oily film..thats why it appears to wipe off so easily.
