Yes it's almost identical that's why there is very little to do in order to swap it. The problem I've pointed to is everyone that the pumps have gone out have been cars that sat for a long period of time. Check the ford forums and see if anyone has changed out the bosch pump for a johnson?
i thought the lightning pump required you to swap out the inlet/outlet from the old pump and the johnson was a direct swap?
