Many states require the front plate to the disdain of those who would rather not have them.
The crossfire does not have a place for front plates so in states that required them, dealers attached or gave the new owners a frame to mount, somehow, on the front.
If you are buying a used Xfire from a front license state you may have ugly holes in your front bumper to fill.
It is possible to mount the frame lower using the pop out lower grills. Takes some hardware and engineering, but it can be done. (check out pictures of my SSB roadster in my gallery). I used very long wing ding toggle bolts and plastic washers and nuts.
Some owners refuse to mount a front plate. Who can blame them. But they chance a ticket and harrassment by the local PD.
If you live in a state where the front plate is not required, lucky you.
