Well it's protracted but adds just a couple minutes to that activity. First out comes the new floor with sub attached (left enough wire to stand it up behind the car). Next the storage drawer just lifts out. From there I am down to factory original and simply open the old floor panel.

I think having this space under the floor may actually increase cargo space because all the less frequently used stuff is condensed into a small out of the way space. That leaves the cargo area totally free for whatever stuff you want. My "fitted" luggage still fits, and my laptop roll-away and suit bag (my flight gear) fit too.

Before, I had all this miscellaneous stuff in there - it was a mess. Now it looks almost too clean.

I'm thinking of making my own cargo curtain from another piece of carpet. If I can find a shade roller wide enough it should be pretty easy. I wouldn't mind paying the $250 if I have to but why not make it myself if I can?
