Re: WooooHoooo!!! 2nd Place
Larame,
I did not realize the hood would go up that high until Blkfin stopped by at the show and passed that along. It sure does show off the compartment much better but I like to only have it half way up due to wanting to show off the lines of the car. It would draw more attention if you are judged in your parking place for instance. This show, you had to drive it to the judging tent. The five judges asked to have all doors, windows and hood closed. Once that part of the judging was conducted, you then had to open everything. All doors, hood, trunk needed to be open for the rest of the judging. I was told that this group did not like a lot of mods which altered the appearance of the cars. Usual bolt on mods were fine but nothing wild for instance. The guy that beat me was a new Challenger in orange. That guy just bought it in Tenn., went to the Carlisle show then drove it here. He came up to me and shook my hand while saying I was the one he was worried about. Made me feel pretty good due to some other Chargers and new Super Bee's were awsome in our class as well.
I also came across another guy with the same orange Challenger but this guy was different. He is being paid by Dodge to drive his car around the country to participate in the shows. Not to win but just to be out there. He was from Michigan. I talked to him for a while. He then came over to view the Crossfire. His words were holy Sh.t. I have to go get my camera. He came back and took several pictures of the engine compartment. Would be neat to see my car on his Dodge web site when telling stories about being the road.
