Well the common conception is that the SC engages as "load requires" or at 3K RPM

Waldig and Steve Hellums have installed LED's to display when power is being applied to engage the SC clutch and IC Pump. They say the SC in on almost all the time no matter how it's being driven.

So to test the common theory - if an SRT6 is on the dyno with the hood open - and the operator eases on the throttle - one can observe when or if the SC kicks on, and if it does kick in during easy, light driving, at what RPM?

If not - when you stomp on it (Add Load) does it kick on.

I think we all know the SC will kick on from a dead stop if you romp on the gas from idle. But what about at mellow 2K RPM and then jump on it?

Just a test to see if the SC is "load required" to activate...
