I never knew Mini's used Chrysler engines.
I haven't driven one, but a former popular forum member (with a growing family) "AeroBlue" liked it enough to turn his NA Crossfire back in to get a Mini. But I think the handling, and the back seat probably had a lot to do with his decision.
I've always used "boosted" as a generic term since supercharged=supercharged and turbocharged=turbocharged (in my book at least).

The minis' engines (N/A and S/C) were originally designed by Chrysler and built in South America (if I remember correctly) and then finally were ditched when they "redesigned" the mini's and now have a different motor (N/A and turbo).

I will admit that the cars handle VERY nicely but that is about the only performance feature that is good (to me) on that car.
