I am also interested in the magnet technique and if that doesn't work I plan to use a small piece of black electric tape which I hear is the best possible solution to cover up the light, besides taking it to the dealer and having them charge you an arm and a leg. Please let us know if the magnet works! I would love to get rid of the light.
