The air in the CAI is moving up to 157 MPH at WOT and it wont evaporate in the few milliseconds it takes to get to the throttle body. If your air cleaner is on youll be fine as any water would be emulsified before it gets in the cyclinder. The military used to have emergency war power settings on their planes when they needed to go NOW, it was water injection.
To get enough in the motor you gotta have the intake go into big water and you have lost control of the car - floating - by then. Just leave the filter on.
Not an issue unless your racing at the SIPPIHOLE in Florida swamp buggy races.
