Depends on how severe it is doing this, but don't rule out "tire pull". Were all the tires replaced? When I had my Neon SRT-4 the brand new tires after 4,000 miles started pulling badly (same scenario you mentioned). Switched to new tires and it was fine. It would happen if I would go half-throttle as well.
