I thought I read somewhere that removing the fuses still didn't always turn the darn thing off.

I meant to post on that link, I did the same thing and I have to say it is like a different car, I genuinely love it now. I will never put it back on. I have a 6 speed and the car could never take off correctly and it even had trouble when I would down shift. I used to alway notice a little hiccup when I would go from 3rd to 2nd. I only drive mine in the summer, so it is staying off.
I am still teetering on putting the relay in there because I heard if the wire is off insurance will still pay, but if they find out you disabled it you could have problems. I have no idea if this is true or how to find out. Come to think of it, a buddy of mine sells insurance for Allstate, I will ask him.
