It's called "good faith" - The shop showed theirs - he could have charged for the hr. labor.. It wasn't that he couldn't do the job - the customer's gaskets were bad...
True, I won't deny that it was me that made the decision to go forward. I was going to pay the guy the 70 bucks for the hour, but he was nice about it and told me to just come back when I get the gasket. Now after thinking about it, im not sure I wan't to go this route anymore. I'm left with a $400 stainless pipe, $78 muffler and $125 tips that I can't really use now and might have to resell. I was told that we could use the original gasket, which was not the case.
