If you have the older style battery that you can add water you can pull the plugs and measure the voltage across each cell. They should be at about 2.25V per cell. If one of the cells is very low it is bad and you need a new battery. I usually find the cell next to the ground terminal is the bad one. You can not do this with maintenance free batteries. drat!!
