Hey folks, let's give Bill some help on this and make it an enjoyable trip for all. Stogey has already posted a link to what will probably be the Biggest Columbus Day Celebration GRUENE has seen since 2007 Will probably make dining at the Gristmill or the Gruene River Restaurant untenable. Bill has thrown out a "Brown Bag" suggestion, Roger has declared he is NOT standing in long lines.
I have been looking on the net for dining in/around Canyon Lake. I am not familiar wih he area, therefore I will not make any recommendations, only posting a few that looked halfway decent that I found. Post your own thoughts so we can get this firmed up----OK?
