i'd be really worried at the air temps while sitting in traffic, but i've wondered if that would work because of how much less resistance there is. i believe dpp (can't really remember who it was) but the guy who road races and managed a srt6 transplant runs something simular, but Y'd with 2 filters. he also opened up the plastic on the firewall to allow cool air to come in from behind the hood.
