Tried it here, went to a tire shop said they would not do it on my summer tires. They did do it to the all seasons on the other car, IMO they feel slightly louder, no noticeable difference in the wet or rain. Thats my personal experience. Maybe it does help abit. I'd test out a braking before and after doing it and see if there is. If there is a difference it would be so negligible that the inconstancy in the braking wouldn't let it be noticeable.

P.S. Not sure if it matters but the tires were filled with nitrogen for me before and after use, maybe if you use normal air it does make a differance.
