Mine is in the spare tire well in the trunk of my C32, so it is pretty much isolated from the passenger compartment (not up to NHRA code, however). I just used a battery tray and hold down kit to secure it and did not use a battery box, as I have an Optima which is a completely sealed gel cell battery and shouldn't need to be vented (according to several sources). You can even mount it upside down (or drive upside down if you're in outter space or something). Now, I know you track your car Woody, and your trunk space and passenger compartment are pretty much one in the same on the Crossfire, so I would recommend the Moroso battery box. I was looking at this and it seems to be a very good piece. JEG's also makes their own knock-off which also looks good and is a bit cheaper.
